Soundtrack: The Story of The DJ, the DJ documentary which we’ve written about previously, is still filming and is being funded this time around by Zimmie‘s own funds as well as donations from the DJ community.
The film has wrapped a series of interviews in NYC over the past week with legendary DJs including DJs Jazzy Jeff, Premier, A-Trak, Tony Touch and more. As time goes on you can expect the list to get ever more impressive as the next planned stops are Las Vegas and Los Angeles.
The diversity of the film is what will most likely help it stand out. The DJs being interviewed represent all areas and genres of DJing, so it’s not just a film about hip-hop, or a film about dance music – but truly a film about the DJ. Which means there’s something for everyone in this film.
